The Annual Day of VRS & VJR School, Bachupally, Hyderabad was celebrated on Friday, the 31st of January, 2020. The Silver Jubilee Celebrations were a grand success attended by a large number of dignitaries, guests, parents, children, the faculty, support staff, Principal, Director, and the School Management Board members present on the occasion. Our honourable Governor, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Everyone present there was enthralled by her graceful presence. She was accorded a grand welcome by the School Management, NCC cadets, equestrian team and everyone else present there. In keeping with the age-old tradition, the programme started with a performance/prayer to Lord Ganesha along with chanting the Maha Ganapati Stotram, followed by devotions to the protector of all—Shiva Thandavam.
Once the dignitaries were welcomed onto the dais, a proud rendition of our national anthem with heads held high reverberated around the campus. The dignitaries were presented with floral bouquets and the programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
While the Chief Guest of the evening was Hon. Governor of Telangana Dr.T Soundararajan garu, the Guests of Honour were the School executive trustees, viz. Sri.Vallurupalli Raja Rama Mohana Rao garu, Sri. Vallurupalli Rajasekhar garu, Sri. Vallurupalli Raj Kumar garu, Sri. CherukuriVenkateswara Rao garu as well as Captain D. Sreenivas (Commander Naval Unit NCC) and our own School Director Smt. Kodali Vijayarani garu. The inspiring words of the Hon. Governor were imbibed by the students who gave a thunderous round of applause. Director Ma’am read out the School’s annual report giving the details of the events that took place and the achievements of the last one year. The top achievers in academics, sports and other extracurricular competitions received prizes and merit certificates from the distinguished guests. The NCC cadet who had received the national-level award was also felicitated with a prize and was
congratulated by the dignitaries. The dignitaries addressed the gathering praising the achievements of our school and exhorted the students to aspire for the highest ideals and goals. A vote of thanks was proposed by the Head Girl followed by a spectacular dance performance. The themed dances and other performances exhibited perfection in rhythm, movement, and
expression that were greeted with a resounding applause. Mrs. Bindu Guduru was the emcee assisted by two of our brilliant class 10 students namely M. Pavitra and D. Rajesh at this enchanting event. A sumptuous dinner following this cultural extravaganza brought the memorable celebrations to a perfect close.
The School owes its success to the constant support and encouragement given by the Vallurupalli Rattaiah & Seethamma Charitable Trust and Vignana Jyoyji Society. Our founder, the late Vallurapalli Nageswara Rao, was not only a successful builder of houses and buildings but also the builder of the bright futures of thousands of our School alumni.
